Born in 1984 in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Artist. Completed Information Design Research Field, Design Specialization, Graduate School, Tama Art University in 2009. Focusing on digital media, he brings to light human embodiment by entrusting the subject of actions to autonomous devices or external factors, creating many works which question the identity of expression.
His co-creations with So Kanno have been commended in the Art Division of the Japan Media Arts Festival hosted by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs, with "Senseless Drawing Bot" winning a New Face Award in the 15th Festival, and "Avatars" winning an Excellence Award in the 21st Festival. In 2013, took up residence in Barcelona and Berlin after being selected for the overseas study program for emerging artists. Has based his activities in Tokyo and Kyoto since 2015. Major recent exhibitions include the Sapporo International Art Festival 2014 Chi-Ka-Ho (Sapporo Underground Pedestrian Space), ICC Open Space 2015 (NTT Inter Communication Center), Aichi Triennale 2016 (Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art), "Vanishing Mesh" 2017 (Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media), and DOMANI: "The Art of Tomorrow" (Tokyo, 2018).
