As an artist, Participated in the International Studio Program at MoMA PS1 (2000-01) and resided in Paris as a fellow of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japan (2002-04). His works have been exhibited globally, with notable venues including Palais de Tokyo (Paris), the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
In 2005, Founded BEPPU PROJECT, went on to oversee almost all of the 1,000+ projects curated by the organization. Through producing art festivals and delivering solutions for local community and corporate challenges, built into one of Japan's foremost art NPOs. Stepped down as President in March 2022 and founded Yamaide Art Office Inc. in the same year. Received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Award for Fine Arts, New Artist Award in 2008.
