Born in 1979. Joined Dentsu after founding a record company while he was at graduate school. Worked as a marketing planner then as a copywriter. In addition to advertising creation, worked in a wide range of fields such as new product development and providing compositions to artists.
Recent work includes copywriting for Georgia coffee "the world runs on someone's work" and Nodogoshi Nama non-malt beer "go for it, you're number one!", and being a member of the team which created the Tohoku Rokkon Festival concept. Has received over 30 domestic and international commendations including the Cannes Advertising Award, Red Dot Award, Galaxy Award, Good Design Award, and Commissioner of the Japan Tourism Agency Award. Published works include "'Putting Things in Words' is a Weapon" (Nikkei Publishing Inc.), which has sold over 200,000 copies. Selected for the top ten copywriter ranking for four years running (from 2014-2017) by the Advanced Commercial Research Institute. Visiting researcher at Yokohama City University.
