Chisato Tsumori
Fashion Designer
Entered Bunka Fashion College in 1973 to study design. After graduation, joined Issey Miyake International (now Issey Miyake) and became a designer of the brand "Issey Sports." The brand was renamed "I.S. chisato tsumori design" in 1983, and Tsumori became its chief designer.
In 1990, started own independent brand "TSUMORI CHISATO". Showed 2004SS collection in Paris in October 2003 and thereafter continued making presentations in Paris. Works in many different genres. In 2017, Tsumori was asked by the New York City Ballet to design costumes for "2017 FALL FASHION GALA".
