Spatial designer. Calls himself a "Space Composer". Head of JTQ Inc. Born in 1965. In 2002, set up JTQ, a company for creative spatial design. Has worked as creative director for events, exhibitions, installations, and commercial spaces. His belief is that space is a medium that can be used to transmit messages, and in making spaces for communication, he gives thought to both design and functionality. Has undertaken spatial design for the Japan Media Arts Festival (2005-2008), the "Japan Brand Exhibition" (2007), the "kansei-Japan Design Exhibition" at the Palais du Louvre's Museum of Decorative Arts, "Yakushiji Temple Hikari Emaki" event for the 1300th anniversary of Heijio Palace (2010), KRUG bottle cooler (2011,2013), GOOD DESIGN EXPO (2007-2011), GOOD DESIGN EXHIBITION (2007-2013), MARC JACOBS ICONIC SHOWPIECES EXHIBITION (2013), UT POP-UP! TYO (2013) MEDIA AMBITION TOKYO (2013 - 2014) and the IMA CONCEPT STORE (2014).Has won numerous prizes including the D&AD Award, the grand prize, excellent prize, and encouragement prize of the DSA (formerly DDA) Award.
