Tamae Hirokawa

Founder of Soma Design, a company that undertakes fashion design, graphic, visual and sound designs. Set up fashion brand "Somarta" and took part in the Tokyo Collection. Received the 25th Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix New Designer Award and the Shiseido Sponsorship Award. Has held solo exhibition "Creation of Somarta" and has also made works for collaborative events with companies such as the "Neoreal" exhibition with Canon, "IQ x Somarta Microcosmos" exhibition with Toyota Motor, and "02Gen-Taurs" exhibition with Yamaha Motor Design. In 2017, Somarta's signature "Skin Series" was made a part of the collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
