Head of WOW Inc. Born to a swordsmith family whose ancestors have been making swords since the 18th century, and was raised surrounded by traditional arts and crafts. Set up company WOW in Sendai in 1997, and started activities in Tokyo in 2000 and in London in 2007. Published art book "WOW10" in 2007 to mark the company's 10th anniversary and the visual book "WOW Visual Design" in 2012 for its 15th anniversary. Advocates a contemporary approach to Japanese tradition and Japanese aesthetics.
At WOW's visual design studios in Tokyo, Sendai and London, is working in a wide range of genres, making innovative use of various media. Has been involved in advertising, commercials, and visual identity projects, making video installations for exhibition spaces, jointly developing products with manufacturers and designing user interface. In recent years, has produced many original art works and has exhibited installations in Japan and abroad. Is constantly seeking new possibilities in visual design, aiming to make works that have a social function and at the same time allow artistic individuality to shine through.
