Head of design company S&O Design. Part-time instructor at Kuwasawa Design School and Tokyo University of the Arts. Chief designer of Canon's digital compact camera IXY Digital, helping to make the IXY series gain the No.1 share of the global market. Involved in its branding strategy for 10 years. Has received numerous awards such as the Good Design Award and Germany's iF Design Award. The sculptures Regent in Olives and Bollard of Love which were shown at Setouchi Triennale 2016 were popular with the public. Engaged in a wide range of activities including the Lovable Bad Design project and the application and proliferation of a new 3D design method dubbed "continuous design."
