Born in 1973. Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts (formerly Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music) with a bachelor's degree in composition. Set up music label ATAK in 2002, and started releasing innovative electronic music by artists in Japan and abroad. Among his representative works are "ATAK000+" and "ATAK10 filmachine phonics". In 2009, released his first solo piano album "ATAK015 for maria." In 2010, released "Soutaisei Riron + Keiichiro Shibuya: Our Music." Has composed music for numerous movies including "Children Who Won't Die-Shuusaku Arakawa", "Seiji: Riku no sakana (Fish on Land)" "Memories of Origin - Hiroshi Sugimoto", "SPEC:Heaven" and for the TBS drama series "SPEC." In 2012, released "Sacrifice Keiichiro Shibuya feat. Rina Ota", "Initiation Keiichiro Shibuya + Hiroki Azuma feat. Miku Hatsune", and produced the concert "One(X)" to commemorate the 100th anniversary of John Cage's birth. Also in 2012, produced and staged "THE END", the world's first vocaloid opera without any human performers at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM). The opera costumes for Keiichiro Shibuya and the vocaloid character Miku Hatsune were designed by Louis Vuitton. The innovative collaboration attracted wide interest. "THE END" was performed in Tokyo on May 2013 at Shibuya's Bunkamura Orchard Hall and in Paris in November of the same year at the Théâtre du Châtelet. Tickets for all the performances at the three venues were immediately sold out and became a topic of conversation. The opera soundtrack was released in the CD "ATAK020 THE END" from Sony Music and Sony Music France. In April 2014, held concert "ETRANSIENT" in Paris at the Palais de Tokyo in collaboration with contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto. Composed music for the three audio installations displayed at Sugimoto's solo exhibition at Palais de Tokyo. In October 2014, held a piano and computer music concert at the Théâtre du Châtelet - the same venue where the vocaloid opera "THE END" was performed the preceding year. Has been invited to perform "THE END" at the Holland Festival in the Netherlands in June 2015.
