Born in 1971 in Gifu Prefecture. Resides in Tokyo. Since winning a prize at the "Tokyo Wonder Wall 2000" competition for "Opened Eyes Close Eyes", has continued to create installations and works of public art. Works include the "Echoes" series (Shiseido Gallery, Art Tower Mito, Contemporary Art Musueum, Kumamoto, Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo and others), "Liminal Air" (Tokyo Wonder Site, Gallery A4, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art 2009, the Hakone Open-Air Museum and others), and "Memorial Rebirth" (Yokohama Triennale 2008). Known for dynamic works which change ordinary spaces into extraordinary spaces and heightens the sensory perceptions of the viewer.
