Kohei Nawa
Sculptor
Born in 1975. Sculptor, associate professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design.
Makes creations based on unique concept of "PixCell", exploring various factors and textures. In 2009, set up studio "SANDWICH" in Kyoto's Fushimi city, and has been engaged in a wide range of projects. In 2011, held solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo. In 2013, participated in the Setouchi Triennale and Aichi Triennale. Works actively both in Japan and abroad. Projects include the installment of a huge outdoor sculpture "Manifold" in Cheonan city, South Korea.
