Daisuke Nakayama

Born in 1968. After leaving Musashino Art University, aquired both international and domestic attention with his radical installations on arms and avant-garde unstrained artistic expressions. Has lived in N.Y. city for six years since 1997. Has been named as a representative artist of Japan for an art biennale in Taipei (Taiwan) in 1998, in Kwangju (Korea) and Lyon (France) in 2000. Current works include collaborations with various kinds of genres such as stage art works, art direction and concept work for shops and restaurants. Since 2002, has been based in Tokyo. Currently a Professor of Graphic Design Department at Tokoku University of Art and Design's School of Design. Nakayama is also the Representative Director for dn STUDIO Co., Ltd.
