Keisuke Nakamura
Artist
Keisuke Nakamura is the founder of the architectural design studio DAIKEI MILLS.
Engaging in diverse projects from commercial environments to public institutions, he consistently explores the dynamic relationship between people and space through rigorous design practice. Earnestly confronting existing structures and their future potential, he specialises in creating site-specific spaces bound to their unique locations.
In 2020, Nakamura launched the "SKWAT" movement, a project that temporarily occupies urban VOIDs (idle facilities and social gaps) and opens them to the public.
He has also served as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design at Tama Art University since 2021.
