Born in 1974 in Tokyo. Spent childhood in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture and Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. Finished master's program at Meiji University's Graduate School of Science and Technology in 1999. In same year, joined Kengo Kuma and Associates. In 2002, set up Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Co. Nakamura's works are based on the concept that architecture should be designed to facilitate communication. He says his motto is to make works which let people feel a personal connection with both the building and the surrounding nature.
