Kunihiko Morinaga
ANREALAGE designer
Born in 1980 in Kunitachi City, Tokyo. Graduated from Waseda University with a degree in social science. While a Waseda student, studied at the Vantan Design Institute and began making clothes. Launched ANREALAGE in 2003. In 2005, won the Avant Garde Award at"GEN ART 2005" in New York - a contest for emerging designers. In the same year, held the 06S/S Collection with Keisuke Kanda at the observatory of Tokyo Tower. Has since been participating every year at Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo. In 2011, received the 29th Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix Newcomer Prize and the Shiseido Incentive Award. In the fall of 2014, debuted at Paris Fashion Week with the 15S/S collection. In 2015, was selected as a finalist for the ANDAM fashion award, sponsored by DEFI. Opened ANREALAGE AOYAMA in 2016, and ANREALAGE FLAGSHIP SHOP in 2017. In recent years, the "A LIGHT UN LIGHT" exhibition has been held in Japan, showing works made since the Paris debut. A touring exhibition was also held at JAPAN HOUSE in Los Angeles and in San Paulo. Works have been displayed at the Centre Pompidou-Metz and the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild in France. In 2018, the A LIGHT UN LIGHT COLLECTION was shown in Tokyo in collaboration with AMAZON. The clothes are sold at 50 shops in Japan and abroad.
