Hiroaki Miyata

Miyata strives for social change through scientific disciplines such as data science, doing research with a focus on improving today's realities. He has been involved in the National Clinical Database, which is linked to the Japanese board certification system with 5,000 medical facilities enrolled, as well as the Japanese health ministry's use of LINE for public surveys on COVID-19. His efforts also extend to various initiatives beyond the scope of medicine. At the same time, he works with a diverse range of stakeholders such as the World Economic Forum to come up with a new vision for society. One of the visions for society he co-creates is one where lives resonate to create a diverse society, a "resonant society" where each individual can shine as they experience a new world with others.
