Sebastian Masuda
Art Director / Artist
Born in 1970. After working in the world of theater and contemporary art, opened the shop "6%DOKIDOKI" in Harajuku in 1995. His works embody Harajuku's kawaii culture and was the art director for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's "PONPONPON" music video, and creator of the restaurant "KAWAII MONSTER CAFE". Has been holding solo exhibitions in New York and other places since 2014. Currently undertaking an art project called "TIME AFTER TIME CAPSULE" in 10 cities worldwide which is aimed to be completed in 2020. Masuda was appointed Japan Cultural Envoy by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2017. A huge installation "Point-Rhythm World 2018: Monet's Microcosm" is currently being exhibited at the Pola Museum of Art in Hakone until Dec. 2, 2018.
