Architect. Resides in Tokyo's Meguro city. Born in 1979 in New Jersey, U.S.A. Studied at Waseda University (Faculty of Science & Engineering, Department of Architecture) under Osamu Ishiyama. After finishing graduate school, worked for four years at an architectural firm in Berlin, Germany. Returned to Japan in 2008 and set up Yusuke Koshima Architecture Studio. In 2010, designed Tatsuru Uchida's home and Aikido dojo (training room) named "Gaifukan". In 2011, won prize at "SD Review", a competition for architectural drawings and models. Teaching as part-time lecturer at Kuwasawa Design School since 2010. Taught as part-time lecturer at Nihon University Junior College from 2011 to 2012. Also teaching as assistant professor at Tokyo Metropolitan University's Faculty of Urban Environmental Sciences since 2012. Author of books such as "Minnanoie - Kenchikuka ichinensei no hatsushigoto (A house for all - an architect's first year and first project)" and "Genso toshi fukei (Urban Landscape Fantasia)". His latest book is "Kenchikumushashugyo - Hokagonoberulin (An architect's pilgrimage - Berlin after school hours)".
