Born in 1983 in Hiroshima Prefecture. In 2009, completed the fine arts course at Tokyo University of the Arts' Graduate School. Her works have been shown in Japan, the U.S., Brazil and other countries. Makes installations which are extracted intuitively from everyday scenery, and which reconstruct the phenomenon of a "different space" in the exhibition space of places such as art museums.
A contemporary art team launched in 2012 whose central members are artist Haruka Kojin, art director Kenji Minamigawa, and art installer Hirofumi Masui. The members say their aim is to make works that "let the viewer sense in a real way, the infinitely uncertain real world." Without a set method or genre, the team places importance on the exhibition space and visitors, and how the visitor move from one spot to another. The team creates works by taking advantage of the individual traits of its members; it aims for close communication and cooperation in its activities, from conception of ideas to decision-making and realization, and for a strong bond between members during the creative process.
