Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Interior and Residential Graduate Course, Kuwasawa Design School. Worked at the Kuramata Design Office from 1986 to 1991. Established the IGARASHI DESIGN STUDIO in 1993. Beginning with commercial applications and now focusing on a range of spatial designs, installations, and furniture designs, she is engaged across many fields, such as clothing, food, residential, and education. Feature products include playground equipment for childcare facilities. Good Design Award judge, professor at Musashino Art University.
Major work includes interior design for TSUMORI CHISATO, une nana cool, and LuncH, as well as furniture design for TANGO, baguette, baguette life, and the Oishii Kitchen Project etc.
