Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University (Department of Scenography, Display and Fashion Design). Joined Shiseido and worked in the advertising department. Dispatched for a year to Made Thought, a design company in London. Became a freelance art director and graphic designer in 2005. Among her major works are (marunouchi) HOUSE, la kagu, and UNITED ARROWS for which she worked as art director. Has designed packages for Japan Tobacco's "HOPE" and NTT DOCMO, and designed CD jackets for musicians such as Akiko Yano, Hikaru Utada, and Dreams Come True. Has also been art director for the magazine "GINZA." Has received many awards including the JAGDA Newcomer Award, ADC Award, NY ADC Gold, NY ADC Gold Award, and the British D&AD Silver Award.
