Born in 1984 in Toyama Prefecture, Aki Hamada graduated with a masters from the University of Tokyo in 2012. In 2014 he established Aki Hamada Architects Inc. and also became a teamLab Architects partner. He designs architecture and digital art using methods that involve computational design, aspiring to create a society where humans, nature, and machines can coexist in harmony. Notable work includes the Substrate Factory in Ayase (2017) and Torinosu (2020). He has also published a book entitled Alternative Public (2023). He is currently working on projects such as TIMELESS COURT IZU, a bathroom facility designed for the Osaka, Kansai Expo 2025.
